Cabana Striped Cotton Shirt

A cabana shirt is the short sleeve, loose body shirt that exists for one thing only: getting through a hot day without looking like you gave up on getting dressed. The Cabana Striped Shirt follows that playbook in washed pure cotton, with a fine vertical stripe and a long point collar that gives the neckline structure even when the shirt is worn open.

The vertical stripe does the job it has always done, lengthening the silhouette, and comes in four earthy readings instead of the obvious dress shirt stripe: Mustard, Blue, Terracotta and Graphite.

What is on the inside

The cotton is pure and garment washed, which means two things in practice: it breathes in the heat and it arrives soft, without the stiffness of a brand new shirt. The back is double layered, a reinforcement borrowed from the work shirt that holds the drape at the shoulder, and the seams that take the strain are triple stitched.

The sleeve cuff has a pleat and a reinforcement, a detail almost nobody puts on a short sleeve shirt. Note the resin button, matched to the stripe.

The long point collar is firm and sharp, so it looks right buttoned once or open over a tee. Woven inside label, stitched to the placket.

Wear it on its own in the heat, open over a plain tee when the wind turns, or under a light jacket. Loose cut, length that covers the waistband without excess.
