Copper is the oldest metal man learned to hammer. Before iron, before steel, it was copper that came off the anvil as tool and ornament. The Blacksmith Cuff keeps that gesture: a bar of pure copper hammered by hand until it opens into a cuff.
Every blow of the hammer leaves a facet, and the facets catch the light in a way no polished surface can imitate. Because the work is done by hand, no two pieces come out exactly alike. Small differences in marks and tone are part of it, and they are the proof the piece did not come from a mold.

The hammering up close. The bar is about 5 mm (3/16 in) thick, so it has weight in the hand and does not bend out of shape easily.
Pure copper, no coating
Not plated, not an alloy: copper, and only copper. That changes how the piece behaves. It starts bright, with that rosy shine, and darkens over time into a patina, the same way good leather darkens. If you like the original shine, bring it back with a dry cloth or very fine sandpaper. If you like the patina, just wear it and let it happen.

The opening sits on the underside of the wrist. You slide it on sideways and close it with your fingers, no clasp and no lock.
Adjusts to your wrist
The cuff is open, so you tighten or loosen it by hand until it sits right. There are two sizes, and you choose by the circumference of your wrist.
| Size | Wrist | Inside diameter |
|---|---|---|
| 15 to 18 cm | 5.9 to 7.1 in | approx. 55 mm / 2.2 in |
| 19 to 22 cm | 7.5 to 8.7 in | approx. 63 mm / 2.5 in |
Measure your wrist with a tape or a piece of string. Since the piece is handmade, allow a few millimeters of variation.

Care
- Uncoated copper darkens over time. To bring the shine back, rub with a dry cloth or very fine sandpaper
- Avoid leaving it wet. Take it off to shower, swim or wash dishes
- On damp or oily skin, copper can leave a greenish mark. It washes off with soap and water and does not stain the skin permanently. If it happens to you, take the piece off more often and keep the inside clean and dry
- Store in a dry place, away from perfume and cleaning products
